Grumble, grumble...

I swear I haven't abandoned blogging or knitting for that matter. It's been a whirlwind since getting back from the Bahamas. We've had multiple houseguests & gone up to the lake for a few days.

I attribute my lack of blogging to two things, global warming & blogger sucking.

It was 107 in my car yesterday. Stifling hot I tell you. Heat like that just doesn't lend itself to being very active.

While I can't do anything about the heat I can say this "blogger I am sick of your fickle crap, next time I post it will be to provide a link out of your hell". Even today as I tried to post this it was mocking me! No more I say!!

Isaac & I are plugging away on the layout for my new blog. It may be a couple more days before we have it all "purty".

So to tide you over how about some fantastic pictures of paradise?

We had an amazing time on Grand Bahama Island. The weather was great (about an hour of heavy rain each day- for the rainy season that is fantastic) and temps around 86. The water is clear and warm. You could see forever with snorkeling gear. We kayaked and rented a hobie cat sailboat. Our favorite adventure was snorkeling at deadman's reef where we shared the water with the most beautiful tropical fish, a few barracudas, stingrays and a 10 foot nurse shark. It was unbelievable!! Relaxing, romance & adventure! Perfect I tell you!

You can see the rest of the photos we took here if you are so inclined.

I also knit a lot on Orangina. So much so that my next post might just have two finished objects, the new blog & Orangina!

Comments:
Welcome back, Leah! I hope you've gotten some rest. I love the pictures of your trip! I agree about the hot car thing... I hate molten steering wheels!

the vacation photos are beautiful! welcome back! can't wait to see the new blog + orangina!

welcome back! I'm so jealous...

the heat has been pretty unbearable here too, but it's the humidity that kills me. UGH! this weather is not for people with curly hair!

Welcome back! Those photos are stunning.

And kick blogger to the kerb. The kool kidz are typepadding. ;)

xx

What gorgeous pictures! You know I didn't want to go on vacation anytime soon...but I think you're making me change my mind!!

Can't wait to see your Orangina. I did not get a chance to make that this summer, but that just means I can save it for next year's summer knitting.

Glad to hear something from you. I understand about the Blogger frustration. I'm thinking about setting up camp someplace new too.

Your pictures are gorgeous! Glad you had a good time.

Try to stay cool, lady. They high here today, is 107! Torture.

Oh, am I ever glad I clicked on that black cat picture! Hee hee - thanks! :) Heh, that black cat has a REAL tail, instead of a short tail with a kink in it. Allows easy identification!

Glad you had a lovely vacation and I'm looking forward to seeing your new blog. You would make the 4th or 5th blogger I read who abandoned blogger this week!

welcome back from your vacation, leah. you were sorely missed.

can't WAIT to see the launch of your new blog. yes, blogger and any of these free blog services are quite frustrating. i know from personal experience. it's quite liberating to branch out on your own.

can't wait to see your orangina!

Heee - I took the exact same picture of my feet on the beach when I was in the Virgin Islands last year! In fact, it was my desktop for ages. Wish I were there.....

Hi Leah - thanks for posting your pics; it was like taking a mini-vacation! Lucky you. A little R&R and romance (not to mention knitting) in a tropical locale; who could ask for better? I laughed out loud when I saw the pic of you knitting in your hotel room. Excellent, my friend, excellent.

I promise you next week as soon as the Bar Exam's over (I'm sorry I'm such a one-track record these days), your PS card will be made and mailed!

Welcome back - those pictures are amazing!!

Hi, found you through the Amazing Lace. What great vacation pictures! Looks like you had a great time. Hopefully this heat wave junk passes and we can all get back to serious knitting! Your stole is also looking fabulous.

Those pics are so similar to what we saw in Belize. Paradise is no exaggeration of a description. Looking forward to the new layout!
